Hiking Photos

The first is from last weekend. At the time I was terribly lost and put the camera on a rock. The second two are from this weekend climbing La Muela, the Molar, so named because the volcanic rock makes the summit look like a tooth. With me are Kierran, a Canadian, and Ever, his Spanish teacher.

The town look so distant! Is that your town? How high are these mountains that you casually walk up every day as quick amusement? Or perhaps the town, like it's people, is made in half-scale? Or perhaps you have been having a little fun with Photoshop as you sit on a couch in Chicago eating kielbasa and creating an internet presence of an ultrasport mountain climber in Guatemala? Take it from me, that can only end in heartbreak.

jek- They offered me oxygen, but I turned it down. The cross behind me is for all the hikers who didn´t make it.

Seriously, they look really high before you climb them, but this particular climb only takes 45 minutes from my front door. I cant explain it, but pictures dont lie.
