Cell Phones

Cell phones are actually quite inexpensive and nearly all urbanites have one. You buy the phone for about $30 and pay as you go about 10 cents a minute. Incoming calls are free. No monthly fee. I like the system and wonder if it may catch on in the US.

This photo was a lark. It´s taken at school during a break Everyone was standing around looking at their phones and I couldn´t resist stepping in and pretending to have one too. Hiroshi, the Japanese guy on the left, actually has a phone in his hand but is trying to hide it. I dont think he got the joke. The three other people are teachers at the school, including Linda and Ever, who you may recognize from other photos.

Peter,

I hope that cell phone idea catches on here in the USa but I seriously doubt the huge cell phone companies will let it.

Looks like you are having a great time.

Ha! Gwyn, it's true. I am tall here, but I try not to let it get to my head.

It's kinda funny at the used clothing market, cause all the clothes from the USA are HUGE! And when they see 40 inch waist pants they must think we're giants.
